An AI assistant on a restaurant website
The task
The menu runs to 110+ items across seven categories — guests struggle to choose on their own, and in the evening the host is busy with the floor and can’t consult at length by phone. Meanwhile prices, the out-of-stock list and news change more often than anyone wants to edit a website by hand.
Problems we solved
A guest opens a large menu, can’t decide what to order, and goes elsewhere to think it over.
The “Maître” AI manager knows the whole menu and its prices: it asks about taste, company and budget, then suggests dishes, a sauce and a drink.
Booking by phone only: on a busy evening the call either goes unanswered or pulls staff away from the floor.
Booking from the website and from the chat with the Maître — the request lands straight in the restaurant’s Telegram group.
Prices and the out-of-stock list live apart from the website, and going through a developer to change them is slow.
The site is managed from a Telegram bot: prices, the out-of-stock list, new dishes, news, hours, phone number, photos and the banner — no code changes.
Guests keep asking the same things: where are you, how late are you open, can we hold a party here.
An FAQ block and up-to-date opening hours on every page; the Maître answers the same questions in the chat.
People search not by the venue’s name but with queries like “where to have dinner in Polotsk”.
Dedicated pages for those queries and opening-hours markup for search engines.
